<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;font-size:small;color:#333399">Perhaps because it has been so chilly and damp as of late, the insects are not as plentiful as need be for them?</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;font-size:small;color:#333399">So they are turning to suet?</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:comic sans ms,sans-serif;font-size:small;color:#333399">I am not seeing them at my suet, but then, as I stated, it is being well guarded by the ever present red winged black birds who very vociferous and vigorous in their attention to it. I do see the warblers hawking after insects in the shrubs and thickets and trees. Last year I noticed a migrating yellow rump eating bits of suet that dropped from my suet feeder. This year I made an effort to cut suet into small pieces and put them on the ground under the feeder, and also have them on a hanging feeder. They use both! And eat the dried meal worms! I must have 8 or 10 and it is so much fun to watch them flit around!<br>
