[Mnbird] Figuring where the birds are

So where are the warblers in Winona? Where the bugs are and we have no bugs. Flood waters were so so cold. Still under water or inaccessible are the nature trail and Bartlett’s Lake. Tomorrow?

So a new strategy is in order. Agahming. Whitewater, driving in rural areas. All ok; Trempealeau Refuge and St. Mary’s next.

Rural has been fun with a lot more to come. Red-headed Woodpeckers-3 in 2 afternoons. No Swainson’s Hawk yet but that too will happen. Refound a Bobolink, an amazing migrant. A Wood Thrush sang at Latch SP. Black-billed Cuckoo at Agahming. Yard is filled with birds.

Taking the positive, leaving the rest. Bringing back memories of what and where and good times with friends.

Hope you have good luck.
