I have never seen a cardinal feeding on jelly before...
yet I have seen this now a few times this spring. Is this fairly common? I
have been putting out grape jelly for years, and never seen a cardinal come
to it.
But this spring I have at least one male coming and eating the jelly.

We have gotten tanagers, usually early spring, and grosbeaks, cat birds,
orioles, of course. But not cardinals before.
I am happy he finds it to his liking!
