The next gathering of the Minnesota "global birding" group will feature a
presentation on Madagascar, whose long isolation has led to a spectacular
"adaptive radiation" of its birds and all its life forms. Half of its bird
species, as well as six bird families, are endemic (restricted) to the
island. In addition to the birds of all of Madagascar's ecological regions,
the presentation will touch on the lemurs and other wildlife, and the
evolution of its unique fauna.

Monday, January 8, 6:00-8:00

Uptown Plumbing's Community Gathering Space

3554 Bryant Ave S, Minneapolis (corner of 36th Street)
