The Cedar Waxwings finished eating the last berries on the mountain ash
tree today. They seemed to come in small groups-- 5 or 6--rather than the
large flocks we had other years. So the berry supply has lasted them about a
month. Other years the waxwings have arrived in October. Anyone have any
idea why they were early this year?
