There was one Black Tern cruising back and forth over the Yellow-Headed Blackbirds at the Whitewater WMA this morning.  They are usually in this area every year.  As you enter the WMA from the Hwy 61 side, this area is toward the end of the first pond.  As the road curves around to the right, there is just  enough room on your left to pull completely off the road A scope will help you enjoy the YHBBs especially as they are a bit further back.  Many Common Yellowthroats were heard as well as Yellow Warblers.  Yellow Warblers do nest is this WMA.  I'm guessing the Black Tern will be joined by friends soon.  =:)
