The truth be known, a pair of Nikon Monarch 8x42's will resolve all you
need to resolve for bird watching. $230. Can't be beat. Anything more is
just fluff and fancy. Invest any money above that you'd waste on expensive
binocs on all the bird guides you can get your hands on. The guides can
vary in content and are very useful.
